Well its crunch time Christmas Eve will soon be upon us. It has been super crazy here at the store at 7 King St. East in Bowmanville. I love the energy of the people that have had a chance to drop by to store. This week there have been some pretty frazzled people finishing up their holiday shopping. I love being able to help someone select a gift for that special person in their life, we gift wrap so that’s one less thing for them to do. When they leave they seem a little more relaxed….

Still not sure what to purchase for the special person in your life? Why not get them a gift certificate? That way they can choose a gift they would love.

Are you a santa collector? Do you go all out for Christmas?

Season Greetings

One week and a few days until Santa drops down the chimney and enters into your home with goodies for the people who were nice. I am sending you this email because and only because you are nice.

Are you a Christmas person.? Are you a Santa collector? Do you go all out for Christmas like me. Well you should drop in at the Village Card and Gift Store at 7 King Avenue East in Bowmanville and see the two Santa’s that Joan Kimball has on display. The one Santa stands over five feet and the other one is about three feet tall. It would look great as part of your annual Christmas decoration plan. These two Santa’s were donated to a community project by Jackie Kent a renowed artist worldwide whose works is unbelievable. I know you will want one of these.

Even if you are naughty, you definitely want to see these Santas and Joan’s new store location.
Stop in before December 17th and see how you may be able to get one of them. You will not be disappointed.

If you need further clarification, please feel free to call Joan. Remember you have to see the Santas before 3 p.m. on Saturday. Sorry for the late notice but I only got on Santa’s nice list yesterday.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, how shall I decorate Thee?

Now that December is here many people are starting to think about getting out their Christmas decorations. One of my favourite decorations is the Christmas Tree. Every year I love to change the theme of decorating the Christmas tree. At the Village Card and Gift Shoppe we have numerous decorated trees, each one with a different scheme.

Depending on your mood you could select a wide array of Christmas Tree styles. Black Christmas Trees, White Christmas Trees, Silver it really depends on your mood. We have a gorgeous selection of Christmas trees available to purchase at the Village Card and Gift Shoppe. I’m sure you would find one to suit your style.

Christmas tree decorating anything goes, whether you want to colour coordinate with your decor, or maybe you’d like to have it showcase a hobby. It’s really up to you. Usually I pick out a few things that are an absolute must for my tree for instance the gold glitter Christmas ball, with glitter gold leaf accents, you could add 3-6 sprigs of glitter branches and it’s just gorgeous. Now add tulle for you garland, and your tree is a masterpiece. Now for the crowning glory your tree topper. Again anything goes. You can be traditional and go with a star, Santa, angel or why not even a large ribbon bow.

If you stumped for ideas drop by the Village Card and Gift Shoppe at 7 King St. E. in Bowmanville, I’m sure you will find inspiration there.

Thank You! Friday was a great night

WOW what a great event on Friday night! The event was hosted by the Newcastle Horticultural Group they held a fundraiser to benefit the Newcastle Heritage Garden Project. It was a buzz starting at 6pm.........THANK YOU to all who attended and the many volunteers, who did more then their fair share of work! Newcastle definitely has so much spirit.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSSYYYYYYYYYY week, starting off on Thursday November 10th we are doing a cross promotion with Jayset in the Bowmanville Mall, drop by to see our display of great products.

Thursday, November 10th - Sensational Seams asked us to be part of Add a Sparkle to Christmas. This event showcases a Clarington home decorated for the Holiday Season. October 23rd, Great Day at the Newcastle Community Hall

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday I spent the day at the beautiful Newcastle Community Hall. The Newcastle Horticultural Team organized an absolute amazing brunch from students at Durham College, local chefs, and alot of hardworking volunteers. It went without a hitch. It was an honour to be there. I was showcasing some of the wonderful gifts from Jackie Kent Inner Circle, Jackie will be at the fundraiser Nov. 4th, starting at 6pm. It is a must for everyone! I disappointed alot of people as they were so excited and wanted to buy BUT you have to attend the event, also Jackie will be giving away a Santa and hourly giveaways. So mark your calendars! Hard to believe it is just over a week away. Have a good one........

It's been a while since my last post, it's been crazy!! But absolutely amazing. I have lots of great things to tell you about. The Village Card and Gift Shoppe has many great upcoming events in October, we would love to see you!

The Village Card and Gift Shoppe store is constantly changing, if you haven't been by lately you should drop in to see our Autumn tree. Wow, I love this time of year, and was thrilled to bring out our Glass Kitras Pumpkins, they come in three colours, Orange, Rust and Gold and in different sizes. They are a beautiful decor for a kitchen and look wonderful outside in the garden with mini lights around them. The best thing is they are hand blown in CANADA! Come and look at the window, it will definitely put you in a "fall" mood.

I've a had a few people asking how do they take care of Chamilia Jewellery?

Sometimes your Chamilia Jewellery will need a quick touch up. To do so, we recommend only using a jewelry polishing cloth.
It is also recommended that you remove your jewelry before entering hot tubs or pools, as the exposure to the chemicals can alter the appearance of your of your Chamilia Product.

Hello Everyone,

Well, what a fast few weeks........but we are in! The store looks terrific and I feel right at home!

Yesterday I was at the Toronto Gift Show and back there on Wednesday. So much to see.......now I want to put up a Christmas Tree, oh no!

Anyway, we are planning to have an Open House on Sept. 14th from 6-9pm, all welcome to see the change and on Sept 18th from 1-4pm we are having a Chamilia Party to introduce the new beads for the fall season, RSVP please. Both events will be lots of fun. It will be sooooooo good to see everyone.

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know we are now in our new location at 7 King St. E. in Bowmanville. Within InTowne Gallery and Gift Shoppe. Its very exciting.
I just wanted to post a few pictures of the new store.

Okay and one question. When do you think we should have our Grand Re-opening? Mid September, maybe early October. I'm open for ideas...
